Rob's 60th Surprise Party

On the 11th April, we had a surprise party for Rob, We had organised the party to be for another friend of ours and Rob willingly helped decorate the hall, he did a great job it looked fantastic, the boys then took Rob up to the pub for a couple of drinks and the girls starting setting up the hall for the big night.

When he arrived he saw lots of people sitting down waiting for him to arrive, he asked me if we were late, because there are a lot of people there, maybe we should have come earlier, this was the time we were told to arrive, when he walked in everyone shouted surprise, he was gobsmacked, lost for words and quite emotional when he saw family & close friends.

Thanks you all for coming along and making Rob's night so special, one he will never forget. We had family & friends travel down from Sydney, and a few work mates from the past to help celebrate his big day.

Easter Parade

Is it me or are the months flying by, here we are in April, Easter has come & gone, unfortunately we had to pull out of the Easter Parade this year due to the bad weather. It was unfortunate as we had some of the children mainly grandkids, that were very excited to be riding on the truck and throwing Easter eggs to everyone.

It would not have been very pleasant trying to decorate the truck in rainy weather also the metal flooring would have been slippery, so the decision was made by Carol to pull out. Good call Carol.

I had my family come down from Brisbane at the end of March. It was lovely having them down for 3 weeks, we went to different parks around the area, to keep the kids occupied.

Needless to say I was not able to learn any new dances for the classes, so I taught a few old dances that I knew well, to keep everyone happy.

Homebush Ball 28th March 2015

We had 2 car loads of people heading to Homebush for a long night of dancing, Geoff McGowan & Myself were the drivers, with Jenny, Gina, Sonja, Kerry, Brenda & Margaret,  we might try for the bus next year if we have more than 8 travelling to the Ball.

What a fabulous night of dancing, we managed to learn a lot of the dances that were on the list, a great selection of hard, easy, new & old dances, when we didn't dance we would catch up with our line dancing friends from Sydney, Canberra and Queensland otherwise there was a bit of shopping to do (shoes, jewellery, clothing etc).

Thanks for coming along this year guys, it wouldn't be fun if you were not there.
